At the [Hidamari Cultural Exchange]* run by Setagaya Ward, RSA representative Maki will give a lecture on the theme of "Unraveling the Seasonal Almanac: What is Hassaku?"

This is a course to experience the cultural meaning of Hassaku, which falls on August 1st of the lunar calendar, and the seasonal changes that Japanese people have cherished.

*The class is made up of people who have graduated from the two-year "Lifelong University" program supported by Setagaya Ward for people aged 60 and over (classes in social studies and history, local traditional performing arts, Japanese architecture, Setagaya and Tokyo history, and reading and writing).
